Noah Baird
I am an external financial expert who has honed my skills working on behalf of multinational corporations now using my skills to guide impact-focused organizations to improve their financial and operational position to better serve their mission.
I was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. I then went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, receiving bachelors of science degrees in Accounting and Finance and became a Certified Public Accountant. While at college, I was the treasurer, president, and music director of my a cappella group. This gave me one of my first experiences understanding how difficult it can be to manage the finances of a small nonprofit organization while doing your best to fulfill your mission.
I began my career as a litigation consultant and forensic accountant, helping companies understand the financial impacts of unordinary and often catastrophic events. This role honed my ability to understand complex financial situations and present these situations in ways that any layperson can understand.
Along the way, I cofounded a Chicago-area nonprofit organization and currently serve as the organization’s finance and operations director. I also serve as a financial advisor to several large and small nonprofits. To support this organization, I obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois Chicago. I understand impact-focused organizations drive to serve their mission because I share that drive.
I am enrolled in the Baumhart Scholars MBA program at Loyola University Chicago, an internationally recognized program with impact-driven curriculum focused on the intersection of profit and purpose. While a student, I founded Elevated Capacity to help impact-focused organizations better peruse their missions by assisting those organizations manage and conquer their financials.
